IONS Maritime Exercise Final Planning Conference was held from 10-13 November, 2019 in Bandar Abbas, Iran.

In this event, which was attended by representatives of 11 IONS member and observer countries, the representatives, after being briefed about the phases and serials of the exercise, discussed and talked over the details of this exercise. IONS Maritime Exercise, in line with practical measures of IONS and Maritime Security IWG, will be conducted in March 2020, in northern Indian Ocean.

I.R. Iran Navy, as the chair of IONS and Maritime Security IWG, is determined to take a big step in cooperation between IONS navies and that of region's, and start a new chapter in providing maritime security.
